Constructed with our trusted and favorite blends of ultralight, durable, and 100% waterproof made-in-the-USA Dyneema© Composite Fabrics, this single-wall, fully enclosed, single pole retreat builds off what we already know so well from the decade we, and countless kindred explorers, have experienced with the legendary UltaMid 2 and 4. Scaled down to accommodate one person with plenty of room to spare, with a weight of less than 17.4 oz, the Mid 1 is quick and efficient to set up, quiet and stable in wind and rain, and easy to live and recharge in. Pitch:Sets up with a single trekking pole at 135 +/- 5cm.
Includes:4 removable 9" pieces of 3/32" shockcord add a total of .14oz to the overall shelter (1 gram a piece). Attaching shockcord loops to mid panel guyouts mitigates direct stress on the panel pieces and helps manage higher wind loads. 0.6oz pole jack for use with shorter trekking poles.

great tent

I have used many ul tents so far. The mid1 is beautiful, easy to pitch, and a great wind resistant solo tent. I am looking forward to walking in the Northern Alps of Japan with this tent.

I like the tent. It is certainly more than adequate for one person and gear. Easy to setup.

Packaging could be improved to protect the tent fry knife cuts when opening the box. The easiest solution would be to put some heavy brown paper on top of the tent in the box. This is what other vendors do to protect products. Just saying.

Excellent 1 person sanctaury!

Easy to set up and room enough for both me and my gear. Plenty of foot room for me at 6'1". Ergonomic single handed operation of the doors and excellent ventilation. Super high quality materials and construction. I'm very happy with this purchase! I've been searching for a while for the perfect tent to use on my Appalachian Trail through hike attempt in 2024/5 - I've finally found it.
