Product Reviews and Questions
Love it! Such a good design that’s useful and lightweight
Title says it! Lots of useful straps and pockets but still light and comfortable! My go to pack for day trips, already hiked 2 of the 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks with it!
Fantastic!
I’ve a 2400 Southwest which I use for day hikes as well as overnights but I’ve been looking for something a bit smaller for day hikes and travel. I was hoping HMG would do a hat trick on the Unbound series and offer something in the 20-25L range and the Elevate fills the bill. I have about 50 day hike miles on the Elevate now and it has been fantastic. I ordered a large (same as my Southwest) and it fits perfectly, carries very comfortably, and has the same high quality and durability you’d expect from HMG. Very, very pleased with this purchase as it’s exactly what I was looking/hoping to find. Awesome job, HMG.
Wife loves it
I bought this for my wife. I think this may have converted her from another brand over to HMG ( Finally) It is a really nice day pack which can easily be used for an overnight. Think Unbounds little brother.
Simple perfection
I love my Elevate 22, it has to be the perfect daypack. It oozes high quality construction, excellent design, uncompromising simplicity and pure practicality. I’m 5’10” and 200 lbs and the Large size fits me perfectly well. I think of this little wonder like it’s bigger brother, my Southwest 2400, only shrunk down. I was a bit put off by the G-hooks but after using the pack extensively over the past 2 weeks in Arizona’s high desert environment I’m quite pleased and I also like the fact that the hip belt is removable. Are there cheaper alternatives out there? Yes, but you get what you pay for.
Sizing
Received my size medium Elevate 22 in the mail this week and it looks great! Can’t wait to take it out, but unfortunately I have to exchange it for a larger size first. In trying it on I found the top of the shoulder straps to be significantly below my shoulders and definitely lower on my back than my Southwest 3400 and Prism packs. The standard location for the chest strap sits just below my neck and the HMG logo on the shoulder strap sits on top of my shoulder. I measured the torso lengths on all three sized medium HMG packs from where the top of the shoulder strap is sewn into the back panel to the middle of the hip belts and found the Elevate 22 to be 1 to 2 inches shorter than the others. Take into account that the hip belts are different heights, but note you might want to size up. I’m 5’8” with a proportional torso length for my height. Hope this info helps all of you who are ordering.
